Three Wild Swimmers - studio sale

£85.00

Acrylic and willow charcoal on wood panel (unframed).

30x20cm

A little bit about the Ritual show: We all perform little rituals each day, the things we do in a certain way, from making the perfect cup of tea, to returning to our favourite places each summer. There are also more unique rituals that remind us and our community of aspects of our worldview and history, like the coronation, moments that draw us together. In this body of work I have reflected on the rituals that form the fabric of my life, from wild swimming, to returning to the same spot on the Cornish coast each year, to taking walks in the moonlight, and visiting the Avebury wishing tree. Some of my thinking here has been inspired by writers Isla McLeod, Jay Griffiths and Katherine May.
